The Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius) is a familiar bird found in the woodlands of the United Kingdom.  It is by far the most colourful member of the crow family.  It behaves like squirrels in so much as it has a habit of gathering acorns and nuts and burying them.  The Jay can raise its crown feathers to a crest when excited or displaying.
