Damselfly Photos Gallery
Damselflies, like Dragonflies, have been on our planet for over 300 million years. In the British Isles today there are approximately 16 species of damselfly. Damselflies are normally smaller than Dragonflies, and when at rest they hold their wings parallel to their bodies. Also, their eyes are separated from each other. As a predator, their main diet includes a variety of small insects.
