The Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos) is a common thrush found in most parts of the UK. It is a close relative to the larger Mistle Thrush, with very similar markings. Mistle thrushes have much more rounded spots on their bellies than Song Thrushes, making this a good method of distinguishing between the two similar species.
