Coal Tit Photos Gallery
The Coal Tit (Periparus ater) is a widespread and familiar species seen in many British gardens. Coal Tits will form small flocks in winter with other tits. Coal Tits regularly visit peanut feeders, with our local birds particularly fond of black sunflower seeds. Rather than eat these at the feeders, the Coal Tits will take them away for storage, to be eaten later.
