Elephant Parade 2010

Welcome our Elephant Parade adventure page! We’ve now finished our adventure and managed to take photos of all 258 Elephants from the parade.

What is the Elephant Parade?

If you live in London, you probably don’t need an explanation of the Elephant Parade as you’ve probably been spotting colourfully painted baby Asian Elephants on your daily commute throughout June 2010.

Charity organisation The Elephant Family placed 258 life-size baby elephants on the streets of London in late May 2010. The elephants remained on show until they were gathered together in the grounds of the Royal Chelsea Hospital & Westfield Shopping Centre. They were auctioned off in July to raise money to help save the highly endangered Asian Elephant.

The project was a huge success, managing to raise over £4,000,000 pounds which will go towards working with local people and governments to help secure more land for Elephants.

You can still help the charity by signing their online petition…

Our Photos

We’re currently processing our elephant photos and uploading them. We’ve literally thousands of images (one image per elephant simply wasn’t enough for us!) so it will take us some time to get everything uploaded. To see what we’ve got so far (over 500 images), please click the link below.
